Owner - Ed Belfour
Ed Belfour, award-winning NHL goaltender, has long been a muscle car and hot rod enthusiast. This winner of the Stanley Cup and numerous individual awards gets his mind off of stopping pucks by working on cars. His commitment to high performance has led him to perfect many street and track racing combinations.
Ed's passion for cars began many years ago, when as a teenager, he spent hundreds of hours under the hoods of cars, tuning, testing and modifying Mopar muscle. His passion for muscle cars continued to grow and, along with his exacting standards for restoration, was the basis for creating Carman Custom, named for the town in Manitoba where Ed grew up.
Ed takes a hands-on approach to restoring and customizing cars. He is a perfectionist with an eye for quality and detail. As a result, we set our standards high at Carman Custom. Every job is treated as though it were a collectible.

President - Jeff Friesen
Jeff Friesen is a vital part of the leadership team at Carman Custom. His many years working with customers has given him the ability to communicate on numerous levels. He can help you develop your idea no matter what stage it is in. Whether you have the technical know-how, but lack the time to do the work on your own, or just have a fantasy ride in mind and don't know how to get started, Jeff will create a plan.
Jeff brings with him many skills from the automotive industry, including extensive experience in the following areas:
- Parts - supply, fulfillment, retail & wholesale
- Sales & customer service
- 10 plus years experience in the custom restoration business
- High performance race team member - IHRA - mechanical support
